New Delhi: Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh dedicated 24 bridges including 5 successful Himachal Pradesh and 3 roads to the Nation.
These strategical important bridges were constructed by Border Roads Organisation (BRO). In Himachal Pradesh bridges includes Kothi-1 bridge, Kothi-II bridge, Commander bridge, Patsio span connected Manali-Sarchu roadworthy and Kashang span connected Powari-Pooh road.
Apart from 5 bridges successful Himachal, 9 are successful Jammu & Kashmir; 5 successful Ladakh; 3 successful Uttarakhand and 1 each successful Sikkim & Arunachal Pradesh. Of the 3 roads, 2 are successful Ladakh and 1 is successful West Bengal.
The main item was the inauguration of India’s archetypal indigenous Class 70 140-feet Double-Lane Modular Bridge, built astatine the tallness of 11,000 feet astatine Flag Hill Dokala, Sikkim and Chisumle-Demchok roadworthy astatine Umling La Pass astatine implicit 19,000 feet successful Ladakh which besides holds the Guinness World Record of world’s highest motorable road.
Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur expressed his gratitude towards the Defence Minister and the cardinal authorities for dedicating these projects.
He said that the state had go stronger than ever nether the beardown enactment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The connectivity to the bordering areas had accrued and infrastructure was besides being strengthened, CM further added.
